The staff were compassionate, caring and informative throughout the whole process, from arrangements to our funeral wishes. They corresponded with us personally and via email. At no time did we feel pressured to make a split second decision or within short time frames. From the very start of my engagement with Bare I felt supported, heard, and encouraged. No question was 'silly', no tears brushed off. I felt that I no longer carried the burden of the unknown in how to go about farewelling my sister in a loving and appropriate way. The fact that the Bare support person (Mady) reached out every day in the beginning was incredibly helpful. I knew she was just a text or call away. Mady was there when we had an hour with my lovely sister - providing support and encouragement. The excellent portal set up meant that I could access it and make decisions as I went. The useful tips and check-list provided on the portal are excellent. A family friend and I took advantage of the complimentary 45-minute virtual meeting with a lawyer from Bare Law, and it was incredibly helpful. At no stage did we feel we were being directed in a certain direction against our will and, again, no questions were regarded as 'silly'. I honestly cannot speak more highly of Bare Funerals, and to have this one 'light' in a very dark time in our lives, cannot be underappreciated.

My Review of Bare Let me start by saying this: no matter how prepared you think you are, you're not. We knew Mum was in her final hours, and we were fortunate enough to be with her when she passed. Even so, I thought I would have more time to make arrangements, but I didn't. My first call to Bare was just 5–10 minutes after Mum passed away, and the lady I spoke with, Kate, was simply outstanding. The empathy, kindness, compassion and professionalism she showed were second to none. She didn't just explain what information I needed to provide—she genuinely helped me through those first incredibly difficult moments after losing Mum. I'll never forget that. Our mum was 102 plus 9 months, very important at her age to count the months. We chose Bare as mum wanted a no fuss cremation with a celebration of life later. . My sister recently passed away on the side of the street in queensland and I had no idea of who to ring. I had seen Bare advertised on TV so living in Tasmania I decided to call them. Little did I know that was the best decision I would make as they were fantastic and very compassionate. I approached Bare for a cremation for my son who was a long way from me to be able to organize the cremation personally. From the very first words spoken to Bare. They were very comforting for my loss and proceeded with my wishes at first instance. Every step was explained to me at what was happening during the process. I never had to ask Bare what’s next, it was told to me first by phone then put in my port folio to view as I wish. Every step was given that I had to complete that made it very easy and fast. My son was as cared for in the at most respect from taken from the coroner, bare funeral home then the crematorium. When my father passed away earlier in the year we were faced with many options for cremation, many of them quite expensive. My elderly mother had attended many recently and was not looking forward to hosting the usual crematorium send off. A family member suggested Bare and we reached out. The staff were all wonderful. Supportive and understanding although we never met in person. Tim was amazing and made the experience much less stressful than we were anticipating. The first person we met in real life was Susie who delivered his ashes to the house and she was so warm and caring. We were able to have a wonderful celebration of life at my father’s favorite club, hosting around 200 friends and family. This would not have been possible if we had gone with one of the more expensive cremation options.

Bare are very supportive and really help you. I have been involved with organising catholic funerals, but my mother-in-law wanted a very simple cremation. The quote I received from Bare was detailed with a definite price, whereas a Funeral Director gave me an over the phone quote saying "it could cost x but also could go up". As a daughter-in-law trying to help the family, the Bare quote was straight forward. The process after the passing of my mother-in-law was amazing. Bare contacted me via phone and email. I was given a check list of things that needed to be done, including contacting Centrelink. The staff are wonderful and are great listeners and organisers. Everything I raised with them, they were able to address. They also had genuine concern for my welfare (which was amazing). Another great thing was being able to complete a tribute then upload it to Facebook- wow! At the end of the process I have reflected that the family and I were NEVER overwhelmed with any aspect of my mother-in-law's cremation. The experience I had with BARE on the passing of my wonderful Mum was exceptional. BARE handled each step of the process from initial phone call to delivering my Mum's ashes in a professional and compassionate way. Being able to complete paperwork online at home when it suited me was excellent. Everyone I dealt with at BARE from Elle who was my dedicated arranger to the person that picked my Mum up when she passed to the person that delivered the ashes was professional and compassionate. There were no hidden costs and it was cheaper than using a traditional funeral home. BARE was so much better than the traditional way of arranging things, cheaper, flexible and compassionate.

At our time of need, on the day of our dad’s passing, we really weren’t sure where to start or who to call. We decided to reach out to Bare Funerals. I’m really glad we did. My father's death was sudden and just before Xmas. He died at home and whilst waiting for a nurse to officially confirm I had to find a funeral company straight away. I completed online quotes with Bare and another company. Both used the same crematorium. The service with the other company was terrible. i chose them only because they called back first and sounded pro-active. I wish I had gone with Bare. I would advise anyone to research this while your parents or loved ones are still alive and check reviews, most importantly speak to the company. Bare were more attentive, empathetic in their follow-up calls in the whole time I was dealing with the other company.

My mum was in her mid 90’s and deteriorating. With a view to preparing as best we could, we started speaking with local funeral services. What we found appeared to be ‘cartel’ type pricing (all the same) and all with extras. Then we tried Bare. Genuine customer service , sincerity and competitive pricing. I spoke with caring local staff every time I needed too and they followed up when required every time. The passing of our near and dear is difficult , arranging the final steps in this process shouldn’t be. Bare does it very well, they are a business and a service I would highly recommend.

I stumbled across a Bare Interview in a magazine/newspaper some years back and thought I would file that to memory because at the time was such a forward thinking approach to the whole process involved with losing a loved one. I dreaded the idea of having to ever use a traditional funeral parlour having seen first hand the narrower paths on offer. I’ve sat through many funeral services where it was the same service, the same ‘hit parade’ of funeral songs and bible verses or readings. Sadly, my brother was diagnosed with an aggressive terminal cancer diagnosis in 2025. I remembered the Bare article I’d read and decided to really look into what they had to offer. From the moment I ‘dipped my toes’ into the website, I felt no pressure to choose Bare, but found everything on offer made sense to us, was at our family’s discretion and timeframe and above all else, we were not treated as a number - we mattered. From beginning to end, geniune kindness, support and care was given to us from the BARE team and our Senior Arranger Kay Saneaha. Kay was available whenever we needed her either by phone or email. The dashboard assigned to our family allowed us to track what was happening every part of the journey, and held such valuable resources available at our fingertips whenever we needed. After a recent family bereavement, we were recommended to explore the cremation (and associated) services offered by Bare. I can't recommend Bare Cremation highly enough. My brother passed suddenly, with no forward planning leaving me, his closest relative to sort out things. Bare has been wonderful in helping me to navigate my way through something of which I have had absolutely no experience. There is a Dashboard with all the information of what must be done and when, five free Grief Counselling sessions, a 15 minute consultation with a Bare lawyer and a Bare consultant to assist all the way through. I could not have done it with our BARE.

We chose Bare as our cremation provider as we wanted a professional service with as little complication as possible. Being able to attend to everyting online made things even smoother, as we lived quite a distance from our father's hospice. Our father did not want a formal funeral, just a cremation and a life celebration a little further down the track. So knowing that he was in good hands, and would be personally delivered to us quickly after the cremation was a burden lifted. Bare staff were careful, supportive and dignified in all their communications, never making us feel pressured. We would highly recommend their services to anyone needing an excellent and simple cremation service.
