My introduction to the deathcare industry began while doing mortuary work for a hospital for 25 years. I started off in administration and looking after medical records, but eventually found myself assisting with autopsies and removing pacemakers. So becoming a funeral arranger with Bare was a natural transition in my career. I loved the idea that the family trusted me to look after the person who has passed. It left my mind open to the possibilities.
Having a window to the other side has taught me to embrace life and I teach my three kids to do the same. I tell them, 'You don’t know how long you have. Enjoy every day.'
