Mrs. Antoinette Esther De Silva's story starts on May 4, 1948, when she was born in Sri Lanka. Antoinette would go on to call Australia home, moving here in 2006. When Antoinette was 24, she married her husband, Bertram Jayadeva De Silva. Antoinette went on to work as an Executive Secretary and made her home in Wentworthville. Antoinette is loved by family and friends alike. She will be missed and always remembered. We encourage you to help keep her story alive by sharing a memory or reflection.

Thank you for your message. It means a lot to comfort families and to keep the memory of Antoinette alive.
My sincere sympathies, prayers, love & blessings to Bertram, Sidoni, Sabrina, Selomi, Silverine and ALL Antoinette’s loving and much-loved family on the passing of their beautiful wife, mother, MIL and grand-mother.
Faith, Family and Friends, and service to the community through her work in Ceylon/Sri Lanka, the UAE & Australia were Antoinette’s highest priorities in a life she lived with love, kindness and compassion towards all those she met and with whom she lived, loved and laughed over the years. As her illness advanced and restricted her life and her mobility, including her ability to go to Church and attend Mass regularly, with her great selflessness and generosity of spirit Antoinette continued to pray every day for others, right through to the end of her life.
Farewell my beautiful, special and much-loved friend, and thank you for your wonderful friendship and all the warm, special and lovely memories we created together over 56 years - from our very first meeting at Walkers Colombo, Ceylon, in mid-1970, when we became firm friends instantly, through your many years in the UAE and mine in Australia, continuing after you emigrated to Australia yourself, and over the two very special weeks we spent together in Toronto some years ago with your lovely cousin and his family - remaining in touch continuously and regularly no matter where in the world we found ourselves . . .I will miss you very much, and miss sharing everything we did over the years, but I thank God for all the special memories, which I will treasure and cherish forever, and which will help sustain me through this ‘Winter of the soul’. Rest peacefully dearest Antoinette, my very special and much-loved friend . . . I will always carry you in my heart . . . till we meet again some day in Heaven . . .God’s beautiful garden of Peace & Joy.

You were such an ncredible person, and your memory will live on through the lives you touched Aunty....
There are aunts who are just relatives, and then there are aunts who are family in the deepest sense. You r definitely the second kind.
My deepest sympathies.” 💐🤍🖤🏴🏳️
