What a beautiful service. It told of Gilly’s love, kindness and compassion he had for everyone and everything that was his passion. My husband and I Charlie were his maxi taxi drivers for many years and it was always such a pleasure to transport him and the gangs of friends he had to Swish, Savour, the Waterloo, the hospital, VA and home! He was always so kind, funny, caring and so strong and independent. So farewell my friend. It’s been a pleasure to know you and have you in our lives! The world is a better place because you lived.

A light has dimmed on the blast of a show that was Graeme.
Many laughs, some dangerously hard, were had over the many years with him and Amanda and I look back at those times with such joy and a snigger.
A great, kind Gentleman, a friend who laughed and listened, and I'll never forget the times we shared.
Huge hugs to his family - Graeme is loved and cherished and sorely missed.

I am devastated to hear of Graeme’s passing! Having first met him in Christchurch in 1987 when touring with Australian Blind Cricket Team. I came back and stayed with him at his home in Riccarton on many occasions before he moved to Brisbane to live in my house for a few years. He was an amazing blind cricketer and played for NZ and Australia where I was his captain for club sides, Queensland and Australia. He was one of the most giving and caring people I have ever met. I will miss him dearly and my sincere condolences to his family.

I knew Graeme since 92 I met him at blind cricket over the years I always cought up with him. We had a lot to chat about as I also had a kidney transplant and we would always check on each other. I always would have a dig at Gilly and make fun of him being a kiwi and he would shoot a remark back. I will truly will miss him and the chats we had.
