Mr. Bradley John Maunsell's story starts on December 26, 1969, when he was born in Australia to parents Thomas Maunsell and Helen Maunsell. When Bradley was 28, he married his wife, Wendy Maree Hammond. Bradley became a father to Erin Niamh Maunsell and Conall Padraig Maunsell and made his home in Ringwood North. Bradley is loved by family and friends alike. He will be missed and always remembered. We encourage you to help keep his story alive by sharing a memory or reflection.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of BM. He was a leader who genuinely cared about people. His encouragement and belief in those around him had a lasting impact on many lives, including mine.

BM was always unapologetically himself. From his straightforward communication style to his drive to keep moving forward. Every action and word he said had purpose, because you knew he meticulously chose what to do or say before he ever did it. His sense of humour is the driest I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing, and for what it's worth, I will always think of him in those moments.
Wendy, Erin, Conall, Rowan; my heart breaks for you. You've lost a great man, partner, father, and grandfather.
Dear BM,
1. Thank you for your lessons and the knowledge you've imparted
2. You leave behind a legacy of passion, dedication, and care
3. May the rumble of your bike guide you to your next infinite adventure

The first time I received an email from Brad, never having met him, I thought I was in trouble because it was all in bullet points. This was the first indication of the unique character of Brad. He was unapologetically himself from his opinions to his politics and his shirts. One of the most important things I will remember was how proud he was of his accomplishments and those of his colleagues, but more than anything of his family. He was never mushy but the pride and love he displayed when speaking about them was apparent. The other thing I will never forget was how hard he fought to stay alive, for his family and for AUSTSWIM. Right up until the end he did everything he could to support the AUSTSWIM team. He was never happier than planning his next motorbike adventure with Wendy. I wish there was more time for him to enjoy their adventures and his beautiful grandson. We were all privileged to know BM.

My condolences to Brad’s family, friends, and the AUSTSWIM community.
My team and I were fortunate to work with Brad through our shared passion for advancing swimming and water safety education across Australia, ensuring current and future generations are safer in and around water.
I was also grateful to spend time with Brad more informally at national events, sharing a meal and a beer. His enthusiasm, integrity, and work ethic were second to none.
The world is poorer for his passing, rest in peace, Brad.

2. Whether at work or on his motorbike, he seemed happiest when moving forward, embracing the road ahead with confidence and determination. He taught many of us through his actions, not just his words.
3. I feel fortunate to have known him and to have learned from him. His strength, humour and kindness will stay with me for a long time.
4. May the road rise gently beneath him, and may his family find comfort in knowing how many lives he touched.
5. My sincere condolences to Wendy, Erin, and all of Brad's family and loved ones.

As a fellow Gen-Xer I could relate to Brad's approach to life and work. Lead a life with purpose, friends and family and support those around you. He led a very stable team at AUSTSWIM, which speaks to the culture he led. He loved his family, his travels and his motorbikes. He also loved his team very much, even if it wasn't always obvious to all. A deeply caring man who is already missed. Sincere condolences to his family and friends.
