Alan “Boney” Bone

To us, he was simply Boney — a mate to all and a character to many.

Boney would often come into the workshop at Newstead Automotive Services, spending hours tinkering away and doing the odd rego check here and there, just to keep his hand in and, of course, to keep his mechanic’s licence — something he was incredibly proud of.

Every now and then, Dad and Boney would sit down the back of the shop and just gabble away for hours. There was always a story to tell, a bit of banter to share, and plenty of laughs along the way.

We thank you, Boney, for all the fun, laughter, friendship and knowledge you shared with us over the years.

You were a true gentleman, a great mate, and one of those characters who will never be forgotten.

Sadly gone, but never forgotten.

Rest easy, Boney. ❤️
