Anna grew up in California with her loving parents and sister. She was surrounded by her cystic fibrosis and transplant community. She received the gift of new lungs in 2010. She thrived winning gold medals across the world. She met her husband Terry at the transplant games of America and moved to Australia in 2017. They received the gift of growing their family from Michelle Lehman and welcomed Zoe into the world in the middle of the pandemic. She continued to watch her child grow into the vision she had of her when she first met Terry. Her tenacity for life bought her more beautiful days so that she could spend time raising her daughter with Terry.
Thank you for adding a memory. It means a lot to comfort families and to keep the memory of Anna alive.

Terry,
When Anna came into my life I remember thinking wow this woman has an extraordinary life, a legacy that will live through you and Zoe. I never saw her as someone who was unwell, she was a force like no other. Watching her become a mother was such a privilege to be a part of. I will miss our chats, her laugh and of course her smile that brought an energy I dont think I will ever see again.
Love Anna Kelly (Emma and James)
Sending lots of love, prayers, and wishes for comfort to Anna’s family and friends near and far
Terry and Zoe ~ I am so very grateful, Terry, for you introducing me to Anna many years ago. She quickly became my first friend in Australia. I have such special memories of time with her and your family. I feel blessed to have had such an incredible friendship with your amazing wife and mum.
I am so sorry for yr loss terry and Zoe. Take care of yourselves. She will be in yr heart forever
So sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to your family. Anna sounds like such an amazing woman. Sending love and prayers.
Oh Anna, you did it all in your 45 years. You were born a month after my baby Athena, so Robin and I learned to be mothers together, as we traversed the unexpected challenges and miracles of your journey. You have always been an inspiration to me!
I watched you live your creative, adventurous, feisty, tender life to the full. You claimed vitality and opportunity whereever you could. You believed in your new lungs, and you gave them over 15 years of life! You competed passionately in the transplant games, attracted a loving partner, moved to Australia and raised Zoe through those first important years.
Now you are free. As we grieve our loss, we come together honoring your courage and inspiration to choose over and over to live life to the full, to never give up, and to love freely and unconditionally. You are forever in our hearts and a new star in the sky. Bless all of us with your radiance and bring us healing, peace and love.
I think it is fair to say that anyone who met Anna remembers her because she was just so charismatic. We need more Anna in the world. I feel blessed to have known her and devastated that she has left. To all of her loved ones, I’m so sad and wish you all the best in your endeavours to heal.
Sending all our love, strength and prayers to Terry, Zoe and all of Anna’s family.
Whilst Glen certainly had more experiences and stories to share about Anna, all told with great humour and wonderful memories, the times I did meet Anna you could see what a wonderful, loving person she was. Who she was will never be forgotten and her impact on this world will never be erased.
First …For Anna:
You fought to live every day. From the beginning, your daily existence was a medical polypharmacy. Immunosuppressants, antibiotics, big pills, little ampules, enzymes and later insulin..To stay alive, so that you could continue what is the most improbable thing of all, life itself. Merely being a miracle of being alive was only a part of it… you Anna, embodied “joie du vive”. During this capsule of life you were given, you Anna, powered through the limits because on the other side of those tethers was an extraordinary life. Your own brilliant, vibrant, over-flowing journey. Against all odds.. you lived and you LIVED. Your Mom and Dad and your beautiful sister were your joists, holding you up along the way. But you always had a lightness and humor .. that self driven nuclear core of strength that catapulted you forward. You truly lived, you competed, you won gold in the water and in life. You received a double lung transplant when your body was failing and survived and LIVED beyond anyone’s expectation. You experienced so much loss with every cf friend that left before you. Yet you had an inner voice that cried for you to power on and live large, for every one of them. You loved and married. You had a daughter and again you LIVED the love and all the trials of those very intimate and integral moments of a life as a Mom. Anna you succeeded in a huge life, one that not only fulfilled your dreams but also inspired so, so many. Your beautiful story of your own personal Everest and the triumph atop the highest peak, a life lived with love, purpose and a lightness of spirit lives in all of those that love you. You will never be forgotten, our warrior woman. Your light, your lightness of being, empower us all.
