Anna grew up in California with her loving parents and sister. She was surrounded by her cystic fibrosis and transplant community. She received the gift of new lungs in 2010. She thrived winning gold medals across the world. She met her husband Terry at the transplant games of America and moved to Australia in 2017. They received the gift of growing their family from Michelle Lehman and welcomed Zoe into the world in the middle of the pandemic. She continued to watch her child grow into the vision she had of her when she first met Terry. Her tenacity for life bought her more beautiful days so that she could spend time raising her daughter with Terry.

There will never, ever, ever be another Anna Modlin Holyoak! Anna was hilarious, quirky, crazy, charismatic, insightful, resilient, deep. She loved her people sooo deeply and we loved her right back. She was my musical theater buddy, my improv partner, retreat roomie, shared my love of “hospital ice”, taught me how to scrapbook….i could go on and on. I will remember, miss, and love her for all the days of my life. Sending all my love to Zoe, Terry, Robin, Doug, Sara and everyone else who knew and loved Anna

It started with an email inquiring about Gyrotonic sessions from California. I had the opportunity to know an amazing woman. One that overcame so many challenges to live an extraordinary life more life in her short amount of years that many live less in more time. I so wish she had more time with her loving family. My deepest condolences to Terry, Zoe, her mom, dad, sister and family. Zoe what an amazing mommy you had I wish you had more time to know her. Love and prayers Dana.
