I met Julie through Scouts, specifically Showtime and would look forward to her company every Sunday night as we worked through whatever needed doing with tepid tea and lots of laughs. I also met Nicola and Ben and had the pleasure of watching the performances and the growing up that happened during those many years. We found connections through kids, comedy, pets and whisky. I adored Julie who had such a knack of connecting with any and everyone she met, what a gift. And what a loss. I will miss you terribly, indeed the world is a darker place without you in it. Just for you, go Tigers.

This photo was taken on one of the many days we shared watching our beloved Richmond Tigers. With our Tiger Family around us, we spent these days laughing, joking, cheering, and maybe being a little bit irreverent, especially towards the umpires whom we all held mostly in contempt.
Irrespective of the score, we always had fun and were surrounded by love.
Julie brought sunshine and positivity to our matches, and to everything she did.
I’m so pleased she was able to experience our three premierships before she had to leave us….
Julie was so much more to me than a footy friend. She brought so much energy and love to my life, and as a fellow cancer patient, she understood so much of who I am.
I’ll be forever grateful to the membership department of the Richmond Football Club for allocating a reserved seat in front of me to my sunshine girl Julie. We will feel her loss so deeply each match, and every day…..
