Steven Hugh Robson Morris - the larger than life, joke cracking, John Howard impersonating, smart, strong, kind, seafaring, happy, funny, lavishly loving and very loud man of great integrity passed away peacefully after a 4 month fist fight with glioblastoma, aged 66.
All who knew him are bereft, the world is a little quieter and not nearly as bright without him. You are encouraged to help keep his story alive by sharing a memory or reflection on this page.
Steve was very much about keeping kids safe, so instead of flowers or the like, a donation in Steve's name to the Daniel Morcombe Foundation would be so much appreciated.
Thank you for adding a memory. It means a lot to comfort families and to keep the memory of Steve alive.

Thirty-two years ago, we met at RQYS, and from that moment on, every time we got together, it felt like an adventure waiting to happen. I’ll never forget the week we took your dad’s boat out on Moreton Bay. It was five of us, two dozen bottles of wine each, and a slab of beer—what could go wrong? For four days, each day you would put the crab pots in the water and somehow, they would be half full or even full pots (you, of course, were the undisputed “Best Craber Out”), we ran through 12 dozen bottles of wine over four days, and only started on the beer at RQYS’s Russell Island spot. That night, with only cold beer in hand, you declared a beer moratorium. Before sunrise, you were dragging us up to cruise down to Sanctuary Cove on the Gold Coast to restock on the wine. Crab meat sandwiches, fine wine, endless laughs—by Day 7 we were cruising home with our hearts full and our spirits soaring.
That story is just one drop in the ocean of memories we’ve shared.
Walking into your hospital room last week, watching you drifting in and out of sleep, it hit me how lucky I’ve been to call you my mate. You’ve always been a great mate to me who’d answer your phone and say Hi, what's happening, what are you doing, who’d crack the perfect joke at precisely the right moment, or bring on John Howard impersonation after a few drinks, of course.
Steven, you’re more than a friend. You’re family. You’re the one who taught me how to seek adventure, how to find the humor in the everyday, and how to stand by someone no matter what. You’re in my heart now and forever, mate, and nothing’s ever going to change that. I can’t wait to make more memories—crabs, wine, beers, and all.
Here’s to you, legend. You’ll never be forgotten.

Steve was indeed larger than life and loved his precious "DiDi" and their extended families fiercely for over 10 years. There were many vinos, many bad jokes, many social occasions, many trips to Noosa and many adventures in that time, including building a new, successful business and being a second-time father to two beautiful little girls. Steve, when I last saw you you told me about your diagnosis and said to me "I just want everyone to look after Di and the girls when the time comes." You would not believe the incredible outpouring of love and support for your darling wife and family. As you embark on your final adventure Steve, we wish you fair winds and following seas...

I will never watch a funny cat video again without thinking of beautiful Steve and hearing his laugh. His smile was infectious, his hugs one of a kind, and he made everyone in the room feel welcome and seen. I will forever cherish a moment in his final weeks when I was sitting with Di and some new OMG! licensees and Steve had been inside resting. He quietly walked out to be with us, sat close next to me and said, "It's good to see you so much lately Rach". There was something in his smile and voice where we both knew it may be one of the last times we'd sit together.....and for that moment, I am truly grateful.
Thank you, Steve for treating Josh and I like family and for all of your advice during our hard times. Thank you for doting on Pippa when you met her, she always mentions how cool you were for taking her for 2 desserts that day at Christmas lunch haha
My love and thoughts are with Di, Court and Crystal, and everyone in the family, as well as everyone lucky enough to know Steve. He will be so, so missed. Thank you for being you, Steve.
All my love,
Rach xx

Steve, you were always so kind, welcoming & caring towards me. You were a huge-hearted man who led with humour, love and clear vision. You always brought energy and fun to any room you were in.
Your love for your wife Di, mother & daughters Crystal & Courtenay (and dog Daisy) was clear a mile off, and it was inspiring to see you treat these special women with such care & respect.
You were a wonderful colleague and friend, and I'll never forget your kindness and for welcoming me into your business, home and heart. I will miss you dearly.
Love Always,
Kath
