Geraldine Mary Banham was born on September 28, 1953, at Bethlehem Hospital in Gardenvale to Thomas and Joan Grant.
She later met the love of her life, Peter Banham, and they married at age 27, building a loving family together and welcoming Rachel, Michael and Lauren.
Geraldine worked as an Activity Therapist, dedicating herself to caring for others.
5 years ago she moved from the family home in Davey street to her dream home in Bonbeach.
She became a proud grandmother, “Gezza” to Jackson in 2023 and Bailey Star in 2025.
Deeply loved by family and friends, Geraldine will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
We invite you to honour her by sharing a memory or reflection on the guest book link below.
To celebrate Geraldine’s vibrant and beautiful spirit, we invite guests to wear colour in her honour.

Dearest Gerry
From the moment we met, you were so welcoming and within minutes we were laughing together. I know now where Mike gets his warmth, friendliness, and vibrancy from. That we share our beautiful granddaughter Bailey together has bonded us even more.
Gerry every hug and every kiss I give Bailey will be from you too.
Rest in peace ❤️

To the entire family, we offer all of our love and thoughts right now... Gezza! Thank you for giving me oldest friend in Rachel! Thank you for giving all of us kids the incredible xmas eves we had together. The times in rye, the backyard where we played endlessly with our imaginations. And not to tell the neighbors that it was me throwing rocks at their tin roof. You were always a bright, smiling, generous and caring friend who we will all miss dearly. Rest in peace now.... 🩵
We remember the meetings on the Gippsland Lakes and Paynesville for nibbles and pre-dinners on our boats. To be fondly remembered with a smile.
