Geraldine Mary Banham was born on September 28, 1953, at Bethlehem Hospital in Gardenvale to Thomas and Joan Grant.
She later met the love of her life, Peter Banham, and they married at age 27, building a loving family together and welcoming Rachel, Michael and Lauren.
Geraldine worked as an Activity Therapist, dedicating herself to caring for others.
5 years ago she moved from the family home in Davey street to her dream home in Bonbeach.
She became a proud grandmother, “Gezza” to Jackson in 2023 and Bailey Star in 2025.
Deeply loved by family and friends, Geraldine will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
We invite you to honour her by sharing a memory or reflection on the guest book link below.
To celebrate Geraldine’s vibrant and beautiful spirit, we invite guests to wear colour in her honour.
Thank you for adding a memory. It means a lot to comfort families and to keep the memory of Gerry alive.

Dearest beautiful Gezza,
Thank you for bringing the most incredible daughter, Rachel, into this world — someone who has brought me endless hours of love, laughter, joy and friendship. Through her, Mike & Lozzy your beautiful spirit lives on in so many ways.
I always admired the way you loved — the way you held everyone with such kindness, warmth and that fierce mumma-bear heart. You made people feel safe, welcomed and deeply cared for.
Some of my most cherished memories will always be those simple, special moments around the kitchen table at Davey Street — chatting, laughing until our cheeks hurt, and of course sharing perhaps a little too much wine together.
Those moments were full of life, love and connection, just like you.
You will always hold a special place in my heart, Gezza. I will never forget you.
May you rest in the sweetest peace, surrounded by endless love.
Love always and forever,
Kera Joy 💕🌈
Hey Gez, not only were you my beautiful sister, you were also my best friend. I love you so much and will miss you forever. Fly high 🥰🥂
