Geraldine Mary Banham was born on September 28, 1953, at Bethlehem Hospital in Gardenvale to Thomas and Joan Grant.
She later met the love of her life, Peter Banham, and they married at age 27, building a loving family together and welcoming Rachel, Michael and Lauren.
Geraldine worked as an Activity Therapist, dedicating herself to caring for others.
5 years ago she moved from the family home in Davey street to her dream home in Bonbeach.
She became a proud grandmother, “Gezza” to Jackson in 2023 and Bailey Star in 2025.
Deeply loved by family and friends, Geraldine will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
We invite you to honour her by sharing a memory or reflection on the guest book link below.
To celebrate Geraldine’s vibrant and beautiful spirit, we invite guests to wear colour in her honour.
Thank you for adding a memory. It means a lot to comfort families and to keep the memory of Gerry alive.

Dearest Beautiful Gez,
I just wanted to tell you how grateful I am for you. When I was a teenager, yours and Pete’s kindness, love and support meant more to me than I can properly put into words. You were someone who made me feel seen, cared for, and safe during a time when that mattered so much.
I carry that with me still, and it helped shape the person I am today. Thank you for the warmth and goodness you gave so freely - not just to me, but to everyone around you.
Your smile and cheeky giggle lights up a room and everyone in it, I will always remember 30 love, think of you and smile.
You are so incredibly brave and strong, I will forever remember you with so much love and gratitude.
I love you very much Gez
Love Monnie ❤️

We only met a short 5 years ago but we connected straight away. We will miss your laughter and warmth. Your presence will be missed when we gather for a game of golf or our driveway drinks but your cheeky spirit will remain with us always. Tits to the Tee will live on in every game. We have so many cherished memories and we share an eternal friendship. Thank you for the true gift of friendship.

I recall as a young boy we were at Rye for no particular reason and one morning you took me on a walk (that I think you did daily). We wandered on the dirt tracks behind the main rd and we chatted about the big houses, the flowers, the bugs and anything else we came across.
There was nothing particular about that morning that it should stick in my memory but it still comes to mind first when I think of you some 24 years later. It was just a happy moment we shared together.
Going to miss you massively at our family gatherings and celebrations.
Rest in peace aunty Gez.
Thinking of you Parkdale Banhams
