Our favourite husband, father, son, brother, cousin, project manager, soccer coach, and friend sadly passed away on Boxing Day.
Matt knew that the end was approaching and went out in style, with 18 months chock-full of caravanning, travel, new boats, new cars, many new toys and plenty of time with his family and friends.
What better way to celebrate his life than with a casual outdoor gathering in his new hometown of Cedar Creek.
Please help us to keep his memory alive by contributing to this page your stories and photos. It will serve as a wonderful memento of the varied aspects of his life.
Thank you for adding a memory. It means a lot to comfort families and to keep the memory of Matt alive.

It was a privilege and pleasure to see Matt grow and mature from the very young neighbour at Jindalee, blending in effortlessly with the four Nettleton boys, to high school and then uni. He became a skilled hunting companion (channelling his African Big Game hunter Grandfather Fletcher) and enjoyed his career as a competent town planner and project manager. Marriage to Katie was another delightful life-event that Matt notched up, and the arrival of Cam and Will.
Katie, Cam and Will, and Michelle and Emma - know that he will be remembered with affection and respect by the wide variety of family, friends, neighbours and colleagues that came into his orbit.
Ian and Susan Nettleton.

One word squarely sits on top in this case. Connection. The deep connections made with each of us on your walk will live on Fletch.
Thanks for being a mate who truly understood the power of connection.

So sorry to hear of Matt's passing, I lived on the property for 2 and a half years in the granny flat, Katie, Matt and the boys were amazing, Matt was always so helpful if I ever needed anything during that time I was there, he was a very friendly, loving, kind man, who loved his family so much and loved living on the land, he will be so missed by many, my love goes out to Katie and the boys and Michele and his family, R.I.P Matt❤️
Our ever smiling neighbour who , in the last 12 months lived a lifetime of memories for his family. See you on the other side Matt.
Though far too early, it's not a surprise
We've had time to plan for our Matt's demise
He wouldn't want stuffy, formal or sad
A relaxed celebration is what's to be had
So come with your stories, both funny and kind
And help us keep Matt in the front of our minds
Dress comfortably and casually; no need for black or formal. We will be mostly outside (weather permitting). The venue will be all at ground level so no need to worry about ascending the stairs.
For your comfort, please bring a hat!
UPDATE: PLEASE CARPOOL IF POSSIBLE AND ARRIVE A LITTLE EARLY AND CONSIDER THE NEIGHBOURS WHEN PARKING.
