Jo tailors each memorial service according to how the family would like their loved one to be remembered. That can be as unique as the person was and would like to be remembered, and held anywhere from a reception venue, chapel, or at home. She encourages families to think outside the ordinary to create a highly individualised ceremony that respects and supports the wishes of the deceased as well as their family and friends – whether that be at home, a favourite place or somewhere totally different. A retired early childhood teacher, Jo has been a funeral celebrant since 2017. She has also been trained to support families as a ‘deathwalker’ and to provide grief support. Additionally, Jo currently volunteers as a No-one Dies Alone Companion.
