Award winning service, because you deserve nothing less.

Here's how our dual service burials work.

We are here for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Whether your loved one has passed or you are simply planning ahead, contact us whenever you're ready and we'll get the process started. No upfront payment is required, and you can complete all paperwork and arrangements online from the comfort of your home.

A dual service allows you to hold a funeral service before the burial. The service may be held in a church, chapel, or another meaningful location, followed by a graveside burial attended by family and friends. Your dedicated arranger will guide you through every detail. From respectfully bringing your loved one into our care, liaising with your chosen venues, and handling all legal requirements, including the death registration and certificate.

On the day, your dedicated arranger and on-site concierge will be there in person to ensure everything runs perfectly. From coordinating with the venue to managing the arrivals, we handle all the logistics behind the scenes - so you can focus on saying goodbye to your loved one.

Our care continues long after your loved one is laid to rest. We'll ensure their death certificate is delivered safely to you and remain by your side with complimentary aftercare and support for as long as you need it. From the graveside farewell and in the days, weeks, and months that follow, we're here to gently guide you through what comes next.

Outside Costs
What are outside costs?
In QLD, state regulations require burial plots and cemetery fees to be arranged directly by your family. These costs are not included in our package, but we’ll guide you through your options - including more affordable choices.

Your burial plot must be organised with the cemetery directly, and your arranger will ask for the appropriate paperwork from the cemetery as proof.

Frequently asked burial questions.

We know navigating burials and funerals is tough. Here are some common Bare Dual Service Burial questions that might help.

Timeframes vary depending on cultural or religious customs, family preferences and venue availability. Generally, burials occur approximately a week after death, but your Bare arranger can assist with alternative planning if more time is needed for family to travel or to fulfil other arrangements. We’ll guide you through your individual situation and circumstances – reach out to our team at any time, day or night.

Firstly, this is quite normal and many families find themselves in this position. If no plans were made, that’s totally fine. We can help you choose a burial location, service type and other necessary arrangements at your time of need, making the process as smooth as possible for you.

Absolutely. Personalising the service allows you to celebrate your loved one in a meaningful way. You can include specific music, cultural or religious rituals, photo tributes, unique decorations, or even non-traditional elements like storytelling or releasing butterflies. If you’re not sure where to start, there’s no need to worry. Our experts will help you tailor the service to reflect your loved one’s personality and wishes.

You can. Many families choose to hold a funeral service, such as a religious or secular ceremony, followed by a burial. This is called a Dual Service Burial. The funeral allows a larger group of family and friends to gather and pay their respects, while the burial provides a moment for final goodbyes. Both can be arranged to suit your family and loved one’s wishes. There are endless ways to give these services a personal touch – we’ll help you celebrate your loved one’s life story just the right way.

A burial refers to the act of interring (or placing) a loved one in a grave, while a graveside service is a ceremony held at the burial site. Graveside services are often simple and intimate, but can be combined with a larger service like a funeral, held at a separate location beforehand. A graveside service is a beautiful way to say farewell, and observe the burial as it takes place – there are many ways we can help you make this quiet moment truly special, and unique to your family and wishes. You may like to consider having a celebrant or member of the clergy accompany you to lead the service itself.

Burial costs can vary depending on the cemetery, burial plot, coffin and how you choose to personalise the service - our basic package fee includes an estimate of these items based on the cemetery listed in our price breakdown, but will be dependent on the location and type of burial you prefer. Other fees can include grave preparation, memorial markers and the funeral ceremony itself. We’ll work with the cemetery to provide a clear breakdown of costs to help you make an informed decision within your budget.

Yes, we can help you arrange a viewing or private time with your loved one, allowing family and friends to say their goodbyes. This typically happens before the burial service and can be held within our dedicated viewing spaces or, if possible, your funeral venue. If you’re considering burying your loved one in a vault or crypt, a viewing may take place in the days leading up to the funeral. Please feel welcome to call us so we can guide you based on your individual needs.

Learn about the Bare story below.

What makes Bare, bare?

Our name represents our philosophy, not our service.

We chose the name ‘Bare’ to reflect our aim to bring transparency to an industry that has traditionally been a black box.

Our pricing laid bare.

Our pricing is simple, transparent and incredibly affordable. We won’t be asking you and your family for any payment upfront, and there are no hidden fees with Bare – ever.

Our process laid bare.

We’ll keep you updated every step of the way and give you the time and space you need to make all decisions - without any unnecessary time or sales pressure.

Your choices laid bare.

We don’t have a funeral parlour we’re trying to fill, so what’s right for you is right for us. Cremation, celebration of life, or traditional chapel funeral – the choice is always yours.

Our ownership laid bare.

We’re 100% Aussie-owned. We’re not secretly part of any large funeral company, we’re just two guys (and now hundreds of staff) trying to make a hard time a little bit easier.

Our venues laid bare.

You can have a funeral or memorial service almost anywhere. Choose from hundreds of partner venues, or simply tell us the venue that’s right for you and your family.

Our support laid bare.

Death is hard, we can’t change that. But we can offer you complimentary grief counselling, legal support and post-death administration support, just to make things a little easier.

We’ve had the privilege of serving 50,000+ Australian families.

Every week, hundreds of families let us into their lives, sharing stories of their loved one, and entrusting us with their goodbye. Here are some of their stories.

We’re also Australia’s most awarded funeral provider.

It’s ok if you don’t know where to start. We do.

Our award-winning team come from all walks of life with a single, shared purpose - to make one of the hardest times in your life just a little bit easier.
