Personal experiences shape our thoughts about death and dying. Lemise’s first experience of a funeral was so bad that she swore she would never attend another one. But here she is, doing them for others!
Every farewell must be different and as individual as the person who is no longer with us. Lemise meets with family and/or friends to ensure that all needs are met. She spends 1-2 hours at an initial meeting to find out all about your wishes, followed up with calls and emails to ensure that every detail is met.
Lemise focuses on secular ceremonies, but these can be customised however you wish, including with music, readings and slide shows. With a wealth of resources and ideas your farewell can be low-key and discreet, or a flamboyant celebration of a life well lived. Your memorial can be anywhere you like. Lemise has led proceedings by gravesides, in gardens, homes, and other special places.
Services delivered have included saying goodbye to elderly relatives who have been on the earth for over a century, farewells to those who have died too young in early adulthood, and tiny babies who never had the chance of a life.
Lemise has a background in science and counselling and is passionate about green, sustainable ways of living and dying. An inclusive, friendly and sensitive celebrant who endeavours to create exactly what you want.
