When my mum passed away after a short illness, I remembered the ads for Bare Funerals. As it was a Saturday I gave them a call and they were wonderful from the get go. From the initial chat and quote, to having a dedicated arranger made an awful time a little easier. Ashlyn was our arranger and it was so much easier only having to talk to one person. She was kind and compassionate. If Ashlyn was unavailable her team were across all the arrangements so everything flowed smoothly. The whole team made us feel that they cared about Mum too. Having an online dashboard also meant that I was able to be across the proceedings at all times. If I had any questions, I was able to call or email and have them answered immediately. For me, it was the little things. The quick email or call to check how we were managing. The care they took when collecting Mum and letting us know they had her. Collecting the clothes for her and the respect they showed. Letting us know that they would be there when Mums coffin was lowered for the cremation. Callng the day before the funeral to check on us. All this meant so much to our family. And it didn't stop there. The follow up emails some time later to see how we were going. To let us know that there was grief counselling available if we needed it. So appreciated. I beleive that Bare go above and beyond standard funeral companies and would highly recommend them to everyone.

From the moment I made my call to Bare for a prepaid funeral for my brother I knew I made the right decision. My brother passed away 6 weeks ago. Making the call I felt very alone, however every single person I spoke to at Bare was amazing. Maddy was my support throughout the process and I cannot recommend her highly enough. She kept me informed of each process and of course showed me so much empathy. If you are undecided what to do regarding your funeral, definitely give Bare a call, or look at their website. Very competitive prices, but most of all, they are lovely to deal with.

We recently lost my younger brother, the youngest member of our immediate family, it was obviously a devastating time. As my parents are elderly, I offered to take on the organisation of his end of life affairs. He had mentioned Bare Funerals, thus we made contact. My hubby passed suddenly and unexpectedly. I was in shock. I had seen the ads for Bare Funerals on tv and was impressed. Honestly, best decision ever. From the first phone call to collecting his ashes - Bare handled everything with no fuss and the utmost professionalism. They took a huge burden from myself & family. With my elderly Mum approaching her earthly end in a nursing home, I needed to look into funeral directors on a Friday afternoon and Saturday and get a quick answer. Bare funerals were literally the only funeral home I rang who could give me a quick quote (very reasonable) and who were prepared to talk this process through with me over the weekend. No one is ever prepared to organise a funeral for their loved one even if you know it’s coming from an illness. I was very fortunate for my brother in law to put me in touch with Bare Funerals. The initial contact was Saya, then when it happened my first contact was Melinda to start the process and she informed me I would have a lovely lady named Rebecca to get me through the journey. What an absolute pleasure dealing with these ladies and Rebecca you knew every answer to my questions before I even asked. Full marks to BARE for their professionalism for my brother’s funeral. I found it convenient and accessible to use the online service which included phone and email contact as well as being able to look at the progress of the planning on the online dashboard. On the day of the funeral all staff were dressed appropriately and were well versed in what was appropriate for a Catholic Church service and burial. A number of family and friends commented on how discreet and respectful the staff were. We were given the choice from 6 coffins and were impressed with the style and quality of the one chosen. We were given the cross off the coffin at the end of the day. We were personally cared for by a consultant through the whole process and on the day of the funeral were made to feel comfortable and relaxed on the day of the funeral as staff were on top of anything previously discussed or planned. The whole day meant for a very comfortable and memorable experience due to the hard work and co-ordination of the BARE team.

The information on the website is easy to understand and I requested a quote which was very acceptable. The staff member I spoke to to accept the quote was very pleasant and thoughtful and ensured that I understood every part of the process. I would recommend people consider a Bare funeral and have the conversation with their family.

Losing someone close to us is never easy, but the care and support I received during the passing of my mother-in-law made an incredibly difficult time much easier to navigate.
