A while back I was ready for a complete career change, I just wasn’t sure what I wanted to do next. Out of the blue, a conversation I’d had with my Dad years earlier popped into my head. He’d talked about what a fascinating job working in the funeral industry would be. I immediately started researching it and I’ve never looked back.

Bare is very customer focused and strong on excellent service, care, and transparency. There’s also a brilliant staff culture and leadership team, which is something I notice and appreciate every day. I love that no two days in this role are ever the same. I get to meet incredible individuals and families from all walks of life, and it’s such an honour that they trust us to care for their loved one, something I never take for granted.

I’m originally from the South Island of New Zealand and while I still head back a couple of times a year, Brisbane is definitely home now. I can genuinely see myself happily working for Bare for many years to come.
