When a loved one passes, we are lost, we feel we are floating, not tethered to anything. Being there for families at their most vulnerable time is an honour and it is also incredibly humbling. Listening to families tell me of their loved ones journey is a testament to their courage and their bravery. My hope is that chatting with them, I can give them some direction, some solid ground.

Grew up in:

My Father was in the Police Force so we moved every 6-12 months. Most of my childhood was in the sugar cane fields and of Bundaberg, all the way up to the Mines in Mount Isa. I thoroughly enjoyed my childhood.

Brisbane

Why I love what I do:

My whole life, I’ve been brought up with the focus of supporting people - to make a difference in people’s lives but on a deeper level. At Bare, I can be a guide for a family, to hold space for them and support them so that this very difficult time can become a much more positive grief experience. It’s the perfect job for me.

When I'm not at work:

When I'm not working you will always find me at a live music gig. I love how music has the power to transform us. And in the rare times when I cannot get to see a band, I'll be in my library reading a book accompanied by a cup of tea and my very contented Chocolate Lab and Kitty Cat both curled up beside me.
