After losing your loved one, we understand that you would want their ashes returned back to you as soon as possible. We endeavour to do this at Bare and have a dedicated team delivering ashes across the country.
When will I receive my loved one’s ashes?
Once your loved one has been cremated, we will contact you to organise the most suitable way to return your loved one’s remains to you. Please note that the available options depend on the location.
In most metropolitan areas, we will organise a time to hand deliver the ashes to you. In some areas, it may also be possible for you to collect the ashes directly from the crematorium or facility. However, in other locations where collection or hand delivery isn’t available, we use a registered and trackable delivery service to return the ashes safely to you.
If you are collecting the ashes from the crematorium, we will reach out once the crematorium lets us know the ashes are available. This is usually two to three days after the cremation. Please wait until you hear from us, as we will provide the details you need for collection.
If we are organising to bring the ashes home to you, we will contact you when the ashes are in our care to arrange delivery. We deliver ashes home to many families each week and always aim to do so as soon as possible. However, delivery can take up to ten days from the cremation date. Our team will give you a call to schedule the day and time to bring them home to you.
If you need the ashes returned urgently, we recommend choosing to collect them from the crematorium or facilit, if this option is available in your area, as this will be the fastest way to receive them.
For guidance specific to your location and circumstances, please speak with your arranger.
